Head Over Heels Boutique, where customers are greeted by a vibrant pink couch and walls lined with shoes, has been around for almost two decades and owner Ashley Pyron is no stranger to the community.

Pyron opened the business in 2006 when she moved back to Macon after graduating from the University of Georgia.

“I moved back to Macon after graduating and felt like Macon was lacking a good shoe store,” she said. “We had several cute clothing boutiques but no shoes.”

Head Over Heels offers a unique selection of shoes that can’t be found everywhere and tries to provide a style and price point range that offers something for everyone, something Pyron believes benefits the community.

“I know that having people shop for things in my store that can’t be normally found in this area keeps our community dollars in our community,” she said. “We also have a lot of customers who travel from neighboring counties and cities, some even out of state, who come to shop at our store.”

“And their money is going into our community every time they shop with me,” Pyron added.

Pyron said keeping it local is a big part of not only being a Macon resident, but also a Macon business owner.

“When it comes to local community support, Macon is top notch. I love that our community is filled with local businesses, some new and some that have been around forever,” she said. “Local businesses thrive because of community support.”

“I want to see that relationship continue and will always support my fellow business friends, events in our community, local non-profits, school events, so that we can all continue to be successful,” Pyron said.

Pyron said she is a people-person who loves getting to know the people in her community through helping them complete their outfits, whether it be for a special occasion or everyday wear.

Head Over Heels offers women’s shoes, handbags and accessories and is located at 4123 Forsyth Road, Suite E.

Pyron said Macon is the only place she would want to own a business and is proud to have served the community for nearly 20 years.

“I love the huge local business presence in Macon - it is not something you see in a lot of cities and communities,” she said. “I love being a part of a community that heavily supports its locally owned businesses.”
