Austin Butler Just Rocked an Edgy Celine Homme Look on ‘The Tonight Show’

The actor popped in to visit Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to discuss the hotly anticipated sci-fi flick in New York on Monday. In a stark contrast from his award-winning Elvis performance, Butler’s new gig required a villainous transformation into the cruel Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, one of Dune‘s antagonists. The star’s head-to-toe Celine Homme outfit certainly fit the bill for the occasion, acting as an edgy ode to his latest role—and doubling as the ultimate movie star look.

All-black fits are a signature style in the Big Apple, and Butler got it right by breaking it up with a variety of different textures. From top to bottom, his outfit included a classic leather biker jacket worn over a “Drugstore” collared silk shirt, as well as English-flared trousers in striped satin gabardine. He paired the sleek look with the brand’s Western Isaac boots, which are decked out in a shiny python print and a metal toe for some added oomph. Minimalistic jewelry such as a chain necklace and a silver ring complimented the outfit instead of taking away from its grungy appeal.

Butler has stuck with black monochrome looks for majority of the film’s press run, including chic outfits he wore from Louis Vuitton and Fear of God in Paris a few weeks back. His co-stars are known for bringing their A-game to the red-carpet, and apparently, Butler got the memo. The actor’s style has been refined over the years thanks to stylists Sandra Amador and Tom Eerebout. Most recently, we dubbed the actor one of the best dressed men of the SAG Awards for his bold Gucci ensemble that aligns with his fashion-forward approach to menswear.

In addition to discussing his new Dune role with Fallon, Butler also reflected on his friendship with co-star Zendaya, who plays Chani in the flick. Alongside Z, Timothée Chalamet (Paul Atreides), and Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan), the actor has flown from London to Brazil to promote the film, which is director’s Denis Villeneuve highest-rated movie of all time.
