Aldi Is Selling a Gorgeous Sherpa Ottoman Under $35 That Rivals West Elm and Pottery Barn

Even though a lot of popular Aldi Finds are from their food section, there are a lot of great kitchen and household items that Aldi debuts weekly too. They’ve been diving more into the home decor and furniture areas, which is great if you want trendy things on a budget. And one of Aldi's upcoming releases—a sherpa ottoman—is an exciting find for anyone looking for stylish storage items that look like they came from West Elm or Pottery Barn for a fraction of the price.

For the upcoming week of March 6 through March 12, Aldi is dropping the SOHL Furniture Sherpa Ottoman for $34.99. It has a modern look to it, with a white, cylindrical body and reddish wood legs that attach to the body of the ottoman. The ottoman’s dimensions are 21 inches long, 21 inches wide and 18.5 inches high. Even though it’s not on the name, the ottoman provides storage as well. The top of the ottoman comes off to reveal a seemingly large storage compartment inside.

SOHL Furniture Sherpa Ottoman, $34.99 at Aldi

The SOHL Furniture Sherpa Ottoman is part of Aldi’s Home Goods section on their website and is part of a drop that includes a bamboo basket and laundry storage containers. They also have a crystal print area rug in multiple patterns that goes pretty well with the ottoman too.

Even though this Aldi ottoman is only $35, it rivals higher-priced items from places like West Elm, Pottery Barn and even Amazon. Take West Elm’s Cozy Swivel Glider Ottoman; it’s $399 for the White Boucle material (which is pretty close in looks to Aldi’s sherpa ottoman). It doesn’t have the exposed wooden legs look (instead it has a wooden base that swivels). But it does have storage as well and is a similar size to the Aldi sherpa ottoman (20 inches wide, 23 inches in diameter and 16.5 inches high).

Cozy Swivel Glider Ottoman (in White Boucle), $399 at West Elm

Pottery Barn has the Raley Upholstered Ottoman ($449) which is even closer to the look of Aldi’s ottoman. The upholstered fabric of the white ottoman isn’t called “sherpa” but looks similar. It also has wooden legs, but they’re attached at the bottom. It doesn’t however, have storage capabilities.

Then, over on Amazon, there’s the Lavish Home Storage Ottoman ($54.18). It has a similar cylindrical body (made with white sherpa) and it has wooden legs attached to the sides. The top also comes off to reveal a storage compartment. It is slightly smaller than the Aldi one though, at 16.5 inches in diameter, 16.5 inches wide and 15.5 inches high.

Lastly, there’s the OuchTek Small Ottoman Storage Sherpa Footrest. It’s $68.98 on Amazon and has no legs; it’s made with a wood base and has stoppers on the bottom to stop it from sliding, but the body of the ottoman goes all the way to the ground. It’s cylindrical, but has a “stacked tires” look to it, which is equally fun and funky. It’s 18.1 inches in diameter, 18.1 inches wide and 18.5 inches high, which is a pretty substantial size. It also has a removable top to allow for storage within the ottoman.

If you can’t get to Aldi the week of March 6, there are nice sherpa storage ottomans on the market that fulfill the same need. But if you’ve been looking for a stylish sherpa footrest or ottoman that can also hold your blankets or extra living room items, and you want to save some money, Aldi’s SOHL Furniture Sherpa Ottoman seems like a good item to snag.
