Life sentence with no chance of parole for Miami man

MIAMI, Okla. – A Miami man who pleaded guilty to the stabbing death of a friend was sentenced to life with no chance of parole on Tuesday.

Travis Johnson entered a blind plea in November to first-degree murder in the Aug. 23, 2021 death of Johnny Euran, of Miami. Johnson appeared before District Judge Jennifer McAffrey for his sentencing hearing.

Euran was stabbed 16 times and the murder was caught on a neighbor’s doorbell ring cam.  A disagreement over a cell phone preceded the stabbing, court records show.

The autopsy report shows Euran also tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine.
