TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — It’s been more than a year since supermodel Gisele Bündchen and former Buccaneer and legendary quarterback Tom Brady finalized their divorce after 13 years of marriage.

In a new interview, Bündchen set the record straight on her newfound season of life, putting an end to rumors about her love life, including speculation that she cheated on the NFL star.

When asked about the cheating rumors, Bündchen told The New York Times, “That is a lie.”

However, the 43-year-old model, who shares son Benjamin 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, with the retired quarterback, did confirm that she’s dating again, and according to the New York Times, her relationship is new.

“This is the first time I am seeing someone that was a friend of mine first,” she said. “It’s very different. It is very honest, and it’s very transparent.”

While the model did not name her new partner, a source confirmed to E! News in February that Bündchen is dating Joaquim Valente — her family jiu-jitsu instructor. The alleged confirmation came almost a year after the two sparked dating rumors following her divorce.

Earlier this month, Bündchen opened up to Robin Roberts during her Impact x Nightline special about her and Brady’s divorce, saying that her priority is her children. She also stated that she’d “open” her heart to someone else again at some point.

“Right now, really, my priority is my kids and creating this beautiful sanctuary for our family. I don’t have a crystal ball about what’s going to happen tomorrow but, yeah,” she said.

In September 2023, Bündchen purchased a $9.1 million, 7.5-acre equestrian estate in South Florida, according to Top Ten Real Estate News.

The home, which is located in Southwest Ranches, has nine bedrooms and features an infinity pool with a hot tub and fountain water features, soccer facilities, tennis courts, and 10 horse stables.

In February 2023, Brady announced that he was retiring ‘for good,” exactly one year after he announced his first brief retirement following the 2021 season.
