Being an Android smartphone vendor isn’t always easy with Samsung stealing the spotlight, but LG has quietly become the only other global vendor in the world managing to eke a profit from selling Android phones. The company’s latest smartphone has continued to build on LG’s momentum, and the company announced on Tuesday that domestic Optimus G Pro sales in South Korea have now topped 1 million units. LG achieved the feat in four months and it said the phone took just 40 days to sell 500,000 units, which is a record for the firm. The Optimus G Pro features a massive 5.5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core processor, a 3,140 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, 4G LTE connectivity, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card and a 13-megapixel camera.
