LG Optimus Vu may be headed to Verizon

LG LTE smartphone sales top 5 million

Engadget has found a Federal Communications Commission filing detailing what looks to be a new version of the LG Optimus Vu with radio specs tailored for Verizon’s 4G LTE network. Although the model in the FCC filing is dubbed the “LG VS950,” it’s pretty clearly the Optimus Vu as Engadget notes that a picture of the device in the filing “shows the exact same speaker grille setup on the lower left as well as the SIM flap on the upper right” as well as “something that looks curiously like an antenna on the top left – in the very same place as the Korean Optimus Vu.” For those who need a refresher about the Optimus Vu, which debuted earlier this year at Mobile World Congress, it’s a Galaxy Note-style “phablet” with a large 5-inch screen, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera.
