Letters to the editor: Impose term limits on Supreme Court Justices; protesting genocide

Need term limits for Justices

No government agency should be able to amass power without oversight, yet there is currently no oversight on the Supreme Court of the United States. No government job should last a lifetime, yet Supreme Court Justices are allowed to interpret the Constitution until they retire or die. Hearing cases brought by benefactors must no longer be allowed.

Because their decisions impact the lives of every American, the court needs to be completely unbiased. It would make sense for Justices to be nominated by a committee made up of citizens with differing political leanings who must agree on putting forward a future member of the court. To ensure integrity, term limits need to be imposed on Supreme Court Justices.

It’s not war, it’s genocide

The student protests aren’t about anti-Israel sentiments, they’re about anti-genocide. If Israel stopped committing mass murder, the protests would stop.

I have had an open challenge for the last six months open to anyone: I will Venmo anyone $500 tomorrow if they can show me a valid (not AI generated) photo of a Palestinian jet or Palestinian tank bombing any Israeli city. Any takers? I’ll up it to $1,000.

Why is it that I can find hundreds of photos of Israeli tanks rolling through Palestinian territories or hundreds of photos of Israeli jets firing missiles?

Israel has tanks, jets, a navy, and nukes. Palestinians have rocks, kites and bottle rockets. When only one side has WMDs, it’s not war, it’s genocide.
