Letters to the Editor: Binghamton U. graduation and veteran resources

Congratulations BU graduates! Consider making our town your permanent home

I had lunch in Chris's Diner on May 10. It was packed with Binghamton University graduates and their parents and families. I wanted to get up and shout congratulations to the graduates and also congratulations to their parents and families for their support and their long-term commitment.

With the parents' dedication and the students' incredible efforts these young people have become very valuable to our country. Congratulations to you all and I hope some of you will see the Triple Cites and Broome County as the wonderful place it is and with the beautiful seasons and great opportunities we have here and, decide to spend your lives here with us.

The VA has created "PTSD Coach," an app that provides tools and resources to help learn about and manage PTSD. Also, the VA has developed a helpful guide that one can share with families and friends to better understand PTSD.

The Veteran Crisis Line or National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available at 1-800-273-8255 or text 838255. Open 24 hours per day, seven days per week, the Veterans Crisis Line is staffed by caring, qualified responders.
