‘Lethal Weapon’: Roger And Trish Argue Over A Case In Episode 12 Promo
Roger (Damon Wayans) and Trish (Keesha Sharp) find themselves on opposing sides of a case in next week’s episode of “Lethal Weapon.”
In the preview clip for Season 1, episode 12, titled “Brotherly Love,” Roger and his partner Martin (Clayne Crawford) arrest a guy from an underground drug bust, only to find out that the guy’s attorney is none other than Trish.
“He is guilty,” Roger tells Trish.
“He’s innocent,” Trish insists.
“Because he says he is?” Martin deviously asks, trying to side with his partner.
The former Navy SEAL, however, quickly regrets joining the argument when Trish gives him a vicious look.
As if going against his wife isn’t challenging enough for Roger, the episode — according to its synopsis — also finds the father of three experiencing some frightening chest pains.
Next week’s episode is probably the installment executive producer Matt Miller was talking about in his interview with Screener last month. When asked what fans can expect from Trish in the second half of the season, Miller revealed: “In the new year, Murtaugh and Riggs [will be put] in direct conflict with the attorney version of Trish. This happens when they arrest a former client of Trish’s. It’s a really fun episode that puts the dynamic together of Trish vs. the guys.”
This conflict between the Murtaughs was also teased by Sharp in an October episode of “Lethal Access” — “Lethal Weapon’s” behind-the-scenes web show hosted by Johnathan Fernandez, who plays Scorsese on the buddy cop series.
When asked how Trish’s career as a district attorney is going to affect the future of the show, Sharp answered: “I would think that there’s gonna be some case where he [Roger] thinks someone is guilty and she thinks [the suspect] is innocent, and there might be some [strife].”
“Lethal Weapon” Season 1, episode 12 airs on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
