Leslie Jones' Website Hack Is Being Investigated by Homeland Security
Wednesday's repugnant cyber attack on Leslie Jones, in which the SNL star's personal website was hacked, is now under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security.
"ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) in New York does currently have an open investigation," a DHS spokeswoman told Variety. "As a matter of agency policy, we are unable to disclose any information related to an active investigation." The FBI is not currently involved with the investigation.
Jones' passport and driver's license were posted to her personal website Wednesday morning, along with nude photographs and racist commentary. The site has been offline for more than 24 hours since. A slew of celebrities have sprung to Jones' defense, among them Lena Dunham, Katy Perry, and Anna Kendrick.
I was terrified when I did SNL. Leslie Jones went out of her way to be open, warm, friendly, funny all week. She is a GEM.

Earlier in the summer, Jones briefly left Twitter in the wake of racist bullying so severe that it led Twitter to permanently ban ringleader and noted anti-feminist Milo Yiannopoulos. Jones herself has yet to comment on this latest attack.
