Leslie Jones convinced outfits are key to success on the ice
Stand-up comedian and Saturday Night Live cast member Leslie Jones isn’t in South Korea just yet, but that didn’t stop her from weighing in on some of the first events at the Winter Olympics.
Jones’ tweets during the 2016 Olympics — which she helped cover for NBC — quickly went viral, and NBC invited her back to help cover the 2018 games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
Jones took to Twitter on Thursday night while in New York City to weigh in while watching the men’s team figure skating event on television.

Though Jones’ commentary wasn’t focused much on the technical aspect of the skating competition, she did have pretty strong feelings about the athletes’ outfits on the ice.

She quickly fell in love with United States figure skater Nathan Chen, who is a favorite among the Americans to win a gold medal.

Chen fell in his fifth jump during his short routine on Thursday night, finishing with a score of 80.61.
Although she doesn’t have any proof yet, Jones came to the conclusion that the better the outfit, the better the routine. She’s also convinced that designer Christian Siriano had something to do with different outfits from Thursday night.
