New Lesbian Super PAC Says Its First Of Its Kind

Tennis player Billie Jean King and actress Jane Lynch of "Glee" fame are jumping into the super PAC game, as they're among the founders of a new, lesbian super PAC.

LPAC specifically targets lesbians, which organizers say make the organization the first of its kind. According to the group's website, the group is "dedicated to one goal: giving lesbians a real seat at the table in politics."

The super PAC hasn't determined which candidates it will back, but LPAC spokeswoman Sarah Schmidt tells the Huffington Post that Republicans shouldn't be holding their collective breath. From HuffPo:

"Part of the reason why we're mobilizing right now is because of what's been going on in the political conversation and what we've been hearing coming from the Republican Party around these issues that's been so disheartening," Schmidt said. "We would really hope that we can find some Republican candidates to support. I'm not sure that's going to happen this cycle."
