Leonia woman, 35, found fatally stabbed. Investigation underway

LEONIA — Borough police and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office are investigating a fatal stabbing at an apartment complex on Grand Avenue.

Alicia Arnone, 35, was fatally stabbed, said Liz Rebein, spokeswoman for the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office. Police officers who responded to the complex after a 10 a.m. 911 call on Saturday found her, Rebein said.

Police officers and members of the Bergen County Sheriff's Crime Scene Unit and Bergen County Prosecutor's Office were at the crime scene Saturday morning. Law enforcement officials did not release any other information.

The investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Leonia Police Department under the direction of Chief Scott Tamagny.

Leonia Chief Scott Tamagny referred all inquiries to the prosecutor's office.
