Leonardo DiCaprio, Girlfriend Nina Agdal Recovering After Car Accident

Leonardo DiCaprio and girlfriend Nina Agdal had a car accident in the Hamptons on Saturday, Aug. 20. Fortunately for the pair, the fender-bender was only minor, and the two are now reportedly recovering.

A source close to the Oscar-winning actor told People on Sunday that “all are doing great” after the crash.

As first reported by Page Six, DiCaprio and Agdal were heading east on Montauk Highway in Wainscott in his friend’s Range Rover on Saturday afternoon when they were struck by a woman driving a Mini Cooper.

After making sure that Agdal was fine, the “Revenant” actor reportedly climbed out of the SUV and walked to the Mini Cooper to help the unidentified driver.

“She was shaken up,” an eyewitness told Page Six of the driver of the other car. “Leo was nice about it. He motioned for her to come with him, and he helped her over to the guardrail so she could rest.”

DiCaprio then phoned the East Hampton Village cops to report the incident. An ambulance arrived at the scene, even though the woman, as the website noted, was not apparently injured.

According to Page Six, the Range Rover had little apparent damage, but the Mini Cooper suffered major front-end damage and had to be towed. The woman was said to be traveling about 10 mph before the collision. It’s unclear whether the woman was charged.

News of the car crash came a day after People revealed that DiCaprio had backed out of hosting a Hilary Clinton fundraiser in Los Angeles due to a scheduling conflict.

“Leonardo DiCaprio was scheduled to host a fundraiser with Hillary Clinton on Tuesday (Aug. 23) at his home in L.A.," a source told the news outlet. "Unfortunately, Leo is stuck in New York until Wednesday to finish his current project.”

“Not wanting to leave Hillary hanging, Leo called his friends Justin [Timberlake] and Jessica Biel and asked if they would host for him. They immediately agreed to fill in as hosts and moved the event to their home for Tuesday," the source added.

DiCaprio is currently not filming a movie, but he is busy producing the climate change documentary “The Turning Point,” which is expected to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 9.
