Leon deputies 'wrangle' alligator waylaid in Lake Jackson neighborhood after storm
Wednesday night's storm affected Leon County residents of all species: One alligator was found a ways from home, ending up in one Shady Oaks Drive yard.
The Leon County Sheriff's Office dispatched deputies to the 1900 block of Shady Oaks Drive Thursday following a report that the gator had ended up on someone's property, on a residential street not far from Lake Jackson.
According to a Twitter/X post shared by LCSO Friday morning, they were able to "wrangle the alligator and relocate him (or her?) to a safe place."
