Lee Hyori meets up with readers of her essay collection

Lee Hyori met up with readers to celebrate the release of her essay.

On 18th, a special event for Lee Hyori's essay collection release took place at Jangchoong-dong, Seoul.

Lee Hyori mentioned that she decided to release the collection for donation purpose, and she wanted to become a help to prevent animal abuse.

She appeared with her own pet 'Soonshim', and entertained the audience with various tricks.

Lee Hyori also talked about her comment on Twitter about eating meat, and she said, "I don't oppose eating meat at all. I just think that meat eaters should be eating healthy meat. Thus, I wanted to express my opposition for factory breeding and animal abuses."

When a reader asked her to give some advice for beginning vegetarians, she said, "You cannot become a vegetarian just by thinking 'I should become a vegetarian'. The time will come to you. However, the time just doesn't come by itself. You should be searching for different informations about becoming a vegetarian, and when you get advices from others around you, it will eventually come."

Lee Hyori concluded the event by aging, "I hope that people will stop thinking that human is on the highest place of the food chain. Nature, plants, fishes, animals, and human are all connected into one, and I just hope that all the living creatures will co-exist on the Earth, giving love to each other."
