Paired with Officer Erin Secoges, K9 Ares hit the streets of Lebanon for the first time on Monday.

“It’s a great community outreach tool,” said Lebanon City Police Chief Brett Fisher. “People love police dogs. It is a great tool for community relations, but it is a great tool for police work. We’re all well aware of all the technology that has come in to everybody’s jobs, but here we are.”

The K9 program is back in Lebanon after it was briefly paused. The community donated $41,000 to purchase the dog and to cover additional expenses.
