Two Arizona stories continue making headlines this week: State lawmakers officially repealed the 1864 law banning and criminalizing nearly all abortions in Arizona. Police have also arrested at least 96 people during clashes with pro-Palestinian protesters at the state's three public universities in Flagstaff, Tempe and Tucson.

Gov. Katie Hobbs signed a bill Thursday that overturns the territorial era ban, which was set to take effect sometime in June. The repeal goes into effect 90 days after the legislative session ends.

Police have yet to file charges against at least 96 students arrested at the three state schools; 72 at ASU. ASU suspended the student protesters arrested on its campus, leaving participating seniors at risk of not graduating next week.
