At least 1 dead after fiery crash on Nashville Pike in Gallatin

SUMNER COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — At least one person died in a fiery crash in Gallatin Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 10 a.m. near the 2300 block of Nashville Pike at the Vietnam Veterans Boulevard Bypass.

According to Sumner County EMS, a vehicles involved in the crash struck a concrete pillar and burst into flames. Bystanders were seen attempting to put out the flames and rescue someone from a vehicle.

The roadway is closed in both directions. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
