Leah Remini Is Reportedly Filming a Show About How Scientology 'Rips Apart Families'
Since Leah Remini left the Church of Scientology in 2013, she hasn't been shy about revealing details about what it was like in the secretive organization. Last year, she released a scathing exposé, Troublemaker, about growing up in Scientology, revealing juicy details about celebrities like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in the process. She also talked about what it was like to leave the church in her reality show, It's All Relative.
And now, it looks like she'll keep telling her story on the small screen. According to The Underground Bunker, a reputable blog about Scientology run by former Village Voice editor Tony Ortega, Remini is filming a new TV series about how "Scientology rips apart families." The series is filiming now, and "appears to be on the fast track," with the possibility of it airing this fall.
A separate series about Scientology's "disconnection policy" has been in production at the same network, Ortega notes. That policy encourages members of the church to stop communicating with loved ones who leave the organization. Recently, two former Scientologists put up a billboard in Los Angeles begging their children, who are still in the church, to call them.
Remini has yet to respond to the reports publicly, but if this is all true, the show is sure to be an amazing binge-watch.
