Lea Industries recalling more than 63,000 children's beds because of risk of fall
NEW YORK (AP) -- Lea Industries is recalling more than 63,000 children's beds in the U.S. and Canada because a support rail could break, putting users at risk of falling.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday that two injuries have been reported since 2009. There have been 22 reports of incidents involving the recalled beds in the U.S. and one in Canada.
Consumers should stop using the Lea panel, loft and bunk beds because the side mattress support rail could break. The beds come in twin, full and queen sizes. Platform beds made since 2010 are not included in the recall.
The beds were sold at Direct Buy stores and furniture stores in the U.S. They were also sold at Amazon.com and other websites from August 2008 through March 2013, for between $400 and $3,000.
