LCPS recognizes campus employees of the year
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Families, friends and colleagues came together Wednesday, April 3 to recognize the semi-finalists and finalists for the campus employees of the year awards, the Las Cruces Public Schools (LCPS) announced in a press release.
LCPS says there are three categories for the employees of the year celebration including: fellow educators and staff nominated teachers, educations support staff, and most recently, principals at the campus level to receive the recognition for campus employees of the year.
“After a series of interviews with the nominees from each school, a committee comprised of educators and district staff were tasked with selecting the campus employees of the year from each school and building site,” read the press release. “District leaders recognized each employee nominated from their school during the celebration for campus employees of the year.”

LCPS says the committee narrowed the pool of campus employees of the year down to ten semi-finalists from each category.

The teacher of the year, educational support personnel of the year and principal of the year for Las Cruces Public Schools will be announced during the Celebration of Excellence dinner on Friday, 26 at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, according to LCPS.
