Lawsuit filed against Norfolk Southern for blocking railroad crossing

A lawsuit has been filed against Norfolk Southern for blocking a railroad crossing.

According to the lawsuit, Norfolk Southern continues to stop its trains and block the Mulberry Street crossing.

Residents of Bridgewater crossing said they’re worried they’ll be trapped in their homes as a result.

The lawsuit is seeking an injunction, fees and damages.

Norfolk Southern told 11 News they make every effort to avoid inconveniencing communities with a stopped train.
