Lawrenceville man faces multiple felonies after police say he possessed, shared child porn

A Tioga County, Pennsylvania man is in custody facing numerous felony charges following an investigation into allegations he possessed and shared child pornography images.

Pennsylvania State Police charged Christian John Miller, 20, of Lawrenceville, with six counts of felony 2 sexual abuse of children and four counts of felony 3 sexual abuse of children, as defined by Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code.

The investigation into Miller started last November when the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Northeast Computer Crime Task Force followed up on information received from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The FBI received a tip that a person was possessing and transmitting child abuse sexual material at a residence in Lawrenceville. The information led police to obtain a search warrant for Miller's electronic devices.

A search turned up child abuse sexual material on those devices, state police said.

Miller was arraigned on the charges in front of Magisterial District Justice James Edgcomb and committed to the Tioga County Prison without bail.

A single felony 2 count carries a maximum prison sentence of 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. A felony 3 conviction is punishable by up to seven years in prison and $15,000 in fines.

Troopers from the state police Mansfield barracks and FBI agents from Williamsport assisted the task force in the search and arrest.
