Lawn mower racing returns to Gun Barrel City

GUN BARREL CITY, Texas (KETK) – The Lone Star Mower Racing Association (LSMRA) resumes its 2024 racing season on Saturday in Gun Barrel City.

The LMSRA said that the race on Saturday is set to take place at 2 p.m. at 301 Municipal Drive in Gun Barrel City.

According to their website, The LSMRA is an official chapter of the United States Lawn Mower Racing Association (USLMRA) and has been dedicated to bringing together communities in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma over mower racing.

According to a release, there will five more races in Gun Barrel City as a part of the season, with one of which being USLMRA Nationals. The other reported dates for LSMRA races in Gun Barrel City are the following:

  • April 27 at 2 p.m. and 28 at 12:30 p.m., USLMRA Nationals

  • May 18 at 10 a.m.

  • June 22 at 10 a.m.

  • September 28 at 10 a.m.

  • October 26 at 2 p.m.
