Law enforcement investigating suspicious fire at residence in Wrightstown

WRIGHTSTOWN, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Brown County are investigating a suspicious fire at a residence that housed a father and a young child.

According to the Wrightstown Police Department, officers and the Wrightstown Fire Department were sent to a structure fire on the 300 block of Main Street shortly after 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 18.

A father and a young child were evacuated without apparent injuries. After the fire was put out, authorities began investigating and believed it had been started under suspicious circumstances.

The Wrightstown Police Department is asking anyone with information on the suspicious fire to contact Investigator Heather Martin at (920) 532-6007 or Detective Sergeant Jody Breider at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office at (920) 448-4227.
