Late-Night Hosts Bid Farewell to Anthony Scaramucci

Just 10 days after he was named White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci is out, and the late-night hosts were sort of disappointed. Why? Because he made great source of material.

A shocked Trevor Noah on The Daily Show exclaimed, “He just got here! I just bought the Scaramucci 2017 jersey! What the hell, people?” Noah also shared, “Scaramucci came into our lives, made everyone obsessed with him for a week, and then left us with nothing but memories and a bunch of moves,” as he hilariously mocked Scaramucci’s hand gestures while singing the Macarena song. And Noah wasn’t the only one who got musical about the Mooch.

On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the host was somber as he opened the show saying, “I come to you tonight a broken man because this afternoon I was shocked by this breaking nooch.” Colbert then delivered a musical tribute to the tune of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and it was pure gold.

Both Colbert and Noah shared in memoriams to honor Scaramucci’s short time in the White House, but it was Seth Meyers who was already looking to the future. “Now the question is, who will be the next communications director?” the Late Night host asked. “How do you top Scaramucci? Would it be an air horn with chest hair? A lasagna with a switchblade?” Who knows. We’ll just have to wait to find out via Trump’s Twitter account.

Late Night With Seth Meyers airs weeknights at 12:35 a.m. on NBC. The Daily Show With Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on Comedy Central. The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
