Las Vegas preschoolers help raise money for Make-A-Wish with art auction

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas preschoolers are helping to grant life-changing wishes and proving that you’re never too young to make a difference.

At The Learning Experience in Spring Valley, kids from three years old are learning that no matter how big or small they are, what matters is the size of their hearts.

This month, they’re holding their annual “Let’s Grant Wishes” fundraiser to raise money for children living with critical illnesses. The campaign is taking place in their classroom.

The little learners are creating art for auction, like bracelets and potted plants for the community to purchase, and participating in “penny wars.” They are also learning about the importance of kindness along the way.

“It’s always fun seeing them wanting to give back and wanting to be helpful in our community,” said lead teacher Ronnie Henderson. “I think it’s important for us to show them how we can be a change in the community.”

The “Let’s Grant Wishes” fundraiser runs through the end of the month. Last year, preschoolers at centers across the country raised more than $2 million dollars. To support the young pupils, visit 2023-2024 TLE Let’s Grant Wishes: The Learning Experience.
