Las Vegas Man’s Real-Life Haunted House: Dinosaurs, Snakes And Knife-Wielding Bears, Oh My!

A bloody, knife-wielding bear over the balcony, snakes emanating from out of the dining room table, dinosaurs playing pool, and a large, strange beast in the garage.

What else do you expect from a guy who runs massive Halloween events in Las Vegas every year?

“Hauntrepreneur” Jason Egan, who runs the Fright Dome, a haunted house experience spanning 250,000 square feet in Circus Circus Casino in Las Vegas

Egan says that he initially didn’t have much in the way of horror items in his fairly standard, cheerful suburban home. So he decided to bring a few in. Of course, “a few items turned into a lot of items and now it’s just full of items.”

There’s so many, friends question if he has trouble sleeping at night, but Egan says it’s the opposite: He sleeps better with his horror pals around.

“This stuff doesn’t scare me anymore,” he says. “I love it.”

He has two raptors, a moose, giraffe and gorilla playing pool in the living room.

Upstairs, in his theater room, horror movie props have run amok, including Gremlins and Mogwai, a painting of Vigo from “Ghostbusters 2,” a giant snake, E.T., Billy the Puppet from “Saw” and posters of Chucky.

His dogs have an indoor dog house—a replica of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.

And finally, in his garage, he has a mechanical creature, like a mechanical bull, only scary, of course.
