Larry Birkhead Reconnects with Late Anna Nicole Smith Through Hollywood Medium Tyler Henry

Larry Birkhead is reconnecting with his late ex Anna Nicole Smith nearly a decade after her passing.

On the upcoming episode of Hollywood Medium, Tyler Henry sits down with 43-year-old Birkhead to get a reading from Smith, who passed away almost 10 years ago.

"This energy of this younger woman is almost insistent in the way that it's coming through. There's an acknowledgement – I'm seeing a symbol of putting lipstick on a mirror. It's strange. It's a message in lipstick is the way this comes through and it's a symbol, but it's coming through to kind of convey this individual's personality," Henry, 20, tells Birkhead in the PEOPLE exclusive sneak peek.

Though Birkhead appeared surprised during the reading, he admitted during his confessional, "There's no way he would have known that. It kind of blew me away that he knew."



"I don't know what this is but I'm seeing an image basically of like a big hat," Henry continues of the image that he is receiving. "It's a hat that we would wear almost to what seems like a special event, but they're very ornate in the way this comes across." He continues, "There is a sentimental significance on the month of May that I need to bring up. There's also a reference to Kentucky that I need to bring up as well, strangely."

As Henry describes the picture he sees, a smirk widens across Birkhead's face as he remembers the moment he met a hat-adorned Smith at the Kentucky Derby.

"You kind of hit a few things. One was lipsticks on a mirror, which is something that I used to always do. I used to write messages back and forth," Birkhead reveals and adds, "I met my daughter's mother in the month of May in Kentucky with a crazy hat on like you mentioned at the Kentucky Derby."

Though Birkhead didn't want to bring up the subject of his late ex and mother of his daughter – 10-year-old Dannielynn – he opens up about Smith because "he was getting so much about Anna Nicole not knowing it was her, and it was even hard for me to keep up, but it was so spot on in so many ways."

Though Dannielynn was just 5 months old when her mother in 2007 died at age 39 of a drug overdose in Florida, Birkhead admitted in July that he tries to make her life "as normal as I can."

"She knows that her mom was famous and that people want to know about her. It's different for my daughter because it's nothing for her to go past and see a story in the checkout stands on the cover of magazines of her mom or herself or us," Birkhead said.
