Lansing Board of Water and Light to host community resource fair

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– The Lansing Board of Water and Light will host a community fair to help residents connect to resources to help with utility bills.

Organizers say the fair plans to get customers who are behind on their bills and connect them to financial assistance to help them get caught up.

The Public Utility says these events have helped more than 2,000 customers to catch up on nearly $3 million in past-due payments on utility bills.

More than a dozen non-profit organizations and community partners will be present at the fair. The event is free to attend and will take place at the Letts Community Center from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
