Lanes closed until Wednesday on Garden of the Gods

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Multiple eastbound through lanes and turn lanes are closed on Garden of the Gods Road for emergency repairs to a wastewater main.

Colorado Springs Utilities (Springs Utilities) posted about the lane closures shortly before noon on Monday, April 29, and said the closures are in effect between North Chestnut Street and the Village Inn located on Garden of the Gods Road, west of I-25.

An attached map shows the right lane heading eastbound is closed between Chestnut and Village Inn, as well as two center turn lanes east and westbound.

Springs Utilities said access to all area businesses remains open, though some congestion can be expected. Springs Utilities said it expects the lanes to remain closed through Wednesday afternoon.

Drivers are reminded to drive carefully in the construction zone and watch for crews.
