Lanes blocked on San Mateo Bridge due to crash

(KRON) — Two eastbound lanes are blocked on the San Mateo Bridge due to a crash Monday evening, California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP, the crash happened at about 4 p.m. All three lanes were blocked for some time, but the center lane opened at 4:54 p.m. The right and left lanes remain blocked.

Three cars, each with one person inside, were involved in the crash, CHP said. The driver of one car has major injuries. A second victim was hospitalized for a complaint of pain.

Drivers are advised to find alternate routes. There is no estimated time for the roadway to fully reopen.
