Lane Kiffin has a message for the FAU fans chanting ‘We Want ‘Bama’ after the Owls 41-17 victory in the C-USA Championship on Saturday:

No you don’t.

The head coach was talking bowl game matchups following the victory over North Texas when he referenced a section of Florida Atlantic faithful which started the popular chant. It’s safe to say he knows what he talks about.

Kiffin was an offensive coordinator for three years at Alabama before taking the job at FAU. He helped the Crimson Tide win three straight SEC titles and probably has as much insight into Nick Saban’s machine as anyone.

He’d love to play ‘Bama personally, however.

“Oh, I’d love to play ‘Bama.” Kiffin said with a wide smile. “I would. I’d feel sorry for our players, but I’d like it.”

FAU seems pretty happy without playing Alabama though. Just look at this video.
