Lane closures to impact U.S. 40 in Clay County
May 10—The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced alternating lane closures coming to U.S. 40 in Clay County.
On or after Wednesday, crews will begin closing one lane at a time beginning with the westbound lane between Jackson Street in Brazil, and Clay County Road 200 East in Harmony. Once work is complete in the westbound lane, crews will switch to the eastbound side.
During the lane closures, preventative maintenance work on the road will be taking place. Work is expected to last until sometime in the summer, but it is weather permitting and subject to change.
INDOT encourages all drivers to drive carefully and keep worker safety in mind while traveling through the area.
