Landmark Baptist Church volunteer turns herself in on multiple charges

Grand Junction, Colo. (KREX) — On Tuesday, 31-year-old Angela Klickner of Clifton turned herself in at the Mesa County Correctional Facility in response to a warrant for her arrest. Now that Klickner is in custody, the former church volunteer faces multiple alleged charges including 10 counts of sexual assault on a child from a person in the position of trust with a pattern of abuse, two counts of obscenity and one count of criminal extortion.

Klickner is currently being held at the Mesa County Correctional Facility on a $100,000 cash bond.

The charges stem from alleged incidents that happened while Klickner was working as a volunteer for the Landmark Baptist Church located off Ute Avenue. Klickner volunteered there between 2022 and 2023.

Church officials contacted law enforcement immediately after they received reports about Klickner’s alleged inappropriate contact with the victims.

There is no evidence as of yet that Klickner’s alleged abuses happened at the church preschool.
