This sentencing comes after Vaughn pleaded guilty back in November 2023 to charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, statutory sexual assault (11 years older), aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault of a person less than 13, and endangering the welfare of children.

West Hempfield Township Police Department began investigating the incident after the abuse was reported on March 20, 2022.

The Lancaster DA’s office says the young victim disclosed that the abuse happened twice during a forensic interview with the Lancaster County Children’s Alliance.

Charges against Vaughn Jr. were officially filed in February 2023 and the case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick.
