Laney was taken to the Lancaster County Detention Center and appeared before a judge on Thursday and Friday. He is being held without bond for the charges of:

  • Trafficking fentanyl 28 grams or more

  • Trafficking cocaine 28-100 grams

  • Trafficking crack cocaine 10-28 grams

  • Trafficking methamphetamine 400 grams or more

  • 2 counts of possession with intent to distribute amphetamine/dextroamphetamine

  • Possession with intent to distribute ketamine

  • Possession with intent to distribute promethazine

  • Possession with intent to distribute alprazolam

  • Possession with intent to distribute marijuana

  • 4 counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime

During our weeks long undercover investigation of Laney at this location, he sold increasing quantities of illicit drugs, leading us to believe he kept lots of drugs in his house. We were correct, and we found nine different illegal substances during the search along with a lot of money and an arsenal of firearms.  This was a hugely successful operation for the Task Force, SLED, and the DEA.  I appreciate the help we got from those agencies.  This operation again illustrates how successful we can be when agencies combine information and resources.
