Lakewood man accused of sexual contact with children, additional victims possible
DENVER (KDVR) — Denver-area law enforcement agencies have released a mugshot of a man accused of assaulting children in Centennial and Littleton out of concern some additional victims have not been found.
The suspect was identified as Christopher Ballard, 26, of Lakewood. He was arrested Thursday by the Parker Police Department with assistance from the Lakewood Police Department and the Arapahoe, Douglas and Jefferson county sheriff’s offices.
Ballard was arrested on the following counts:
One count of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust
Three counts of a pattern of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust
Five counts of sexual exploitation of a child
Nine counts of unlawful sexual contact
Four counts of obscenity
Ballard was reported to law enforcement on March 2 after a parent spoke with their child.
According to law enforcement, Ballard started working at the Journey Academy, at 7691 S. University Blvd. in Centennial, in May 2021. He was also known to go to their secondary location, Journey Life Center, at 6228 South Carr Street in Littleton.

Potential victims have been identified in Parker, Douglas County and Jefferson County, and law enforcement has been in contact.
“We want to encourage anyone who thinks their child may have been a victim of Mr. Ballard’s, knows someone who may have been a victim or has information about this case to please contact Parker Detective Bev Wilson … or Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Detective Randy Allen,” the Parker Police Department wrote in its release.
