LaGrange Police: Man wanted on several sexual abuse charges

LaGRANGE, Ga. (WRBL) — A man is wanted by LaGrange police on several sexual abuse charges.

On April 12 at about 1 p.m., the LaGrange Police Department responded to a school. A student reported to a faculty member they, along with others, had been sexually abused.

The abuse had been going on for years, police say. The victims were interviewed, as well as witnesses.

Jeremy William Powell was identified as the suspect. Powell has warrants out for his arrest on the following charges:

Rape
Two counts of child molestation
Aggravated sexual battery
Three counts of felony sexual battery

LaGrange police say he remains at large as of late Tuesday morning.
