Lady Gaga pens touching note for her late best friend

Sonja Durham passed away from stage IV cancer this past weekend, and if you do not know who she was directly, Lady Gaga can fill you in.

Durham was one of Gaga's closest friends, and the inspiration behind the singer's "Grigio Girls." After her passing, Gaga penned an emotional note on Instagram in honor of her best friend.

"And you and Andre, your unbreakable beautiful love is what life is all about. You can see it in this photo. Wanted to share this with the world and show them what true beauty looks like," she said.

Gaga has discussed Durham's battle with cancer before, emphasizing the necessity for more communities of support for those with cancer, as well as the need for more research to lead to a cure.
