Aug. 23—A 44-year-old city man was arrested after Lackawanna County detectives say he sold fentanyl to a confidential informant in West Scranton.

Clarence Drayton, 505 Linden St., was taken into custody at the conclusion of the controlled buy Tuesday at Meridian Avenue and Luzerne Street, detectives said.

Magisterial District Judge Paul Ware arraigned Drayton on possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and other charges. He was held in Lackawanna County Prison on $75,000 bail.

A second man, 35-year-old Nicholas Hamilton, also of 505 Linden St., was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance after investigators say he drove Drayton to meet the informant. He was jailed on $35,000 bail.

Preliminary hearings for both men were scheduled 9:30 a.m. Aug. 31.
