La La Anthony And Carmelo Anthony Are Friends
La La Carmelo speaks about her status with ex Carmelo Anthony.
On Wednesday the “Power” star sat with Power 105.1 FM’s “The Breakfast Club” where she admitted that she remained friends with the NBA superstar after they split a few months ago. In fact, she told her ex about her racy sex scenes for her TV show.

“Well, let’s start with the sex scene. That was done eight months ago. So, when it was going on, you sit down, have a discussion with the person you’re with and say, ‘Hey, this is what’s coming up in the script. I want to make sure you’re comfortable with it. I want it to be done as tastefully as I can,’” La La said, E! News reported. When “Power” aired, the exes were no longer together. So, La La did not bring up the scene to Carmelo. They haven’t talked about it.
As for the issue of Carmelo wanting to move from New York Knicks to Houston Rockets, La La was asked if she was willing to move with him to Texas. According to the actress, she was born and bred in New York and she had no plans in moving to another state. “I don’t know about that. I don't know about those trick questions you’re trying to ask me, but I am staying in New York.”
Although La La will not be going with Carmelo in case he moves to Texas, the actress said in an interview earlier that they are not divorcing anytime soon. For her, they are just going through ups and downs in their marriage. In fact, they remain friends and are committed to their son, Kiyan, 10. For her, Carmelo is her best friend. The celebrity mom also joked that when someone took pity on Carmelo she would tell the person, “Don't feel sorry for him! Feel sorry for me!” E News noted.
La La and Carmelo have not talked about potential reconciliation, but he remains sweet to her. In fact, the player greeted his estranged wife on Instagram on her birthday. “I look at you on this birthday, and it is hard to believe another year has passed. You are as beautiful now as ever before!!! Sending Birthday wishes to MY EARTH @lala Love YOU,” he wrote.
