Kylie Jenner has topped Instagram’s 2018 Rich List, overtaking sister Kim Kardashian to claim the number one spot.

The 20-year-old beauty guru flew past her sisters and a number of other A-listers in the annual round-up.

Jenner, who owns beauty empire Kylie Cosmetics, also overtook Kill Em’ With Kindness singer Selena Gomez who claimed her place at the top of the list last year, knocking her down to second place.

The list, compiled by Hopper HQ, is created through data collection including follower count, average engagement and frequency of posts.

According to the list, the mother-of-one’s cost per post is $1 million, with Gomez shortly behind her with $800,000 and Kardashian in fourth position with $720,000.

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo landed himself in third place, maintaining his 2017 position.

US pop superstar Beyonce bagged fifth place with Dwayne Johnson and Justin Bieber falling behind in sixth and seventh spot.

Kylie's sisters Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian took the number 10 and 11 spots respectively.

It comes days after Kylie was shaded by Dicitonary.co after Forbes named her an upcoming “self-made” billionaire.

Exploring her $900 billion beauty empire, the magazine predicted that the 20-year-old is on track to become the “youngest self-made billionaire ever, male or female”, surpassing Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who became a billionaire at 23 years old.

Dictionary.com was not in agreement with the publication and took aim at Jenner's fortune being "self-made".

A tweet shading the TV personality, read: “Self-made means having succeeded in life unaided.

“Used in a sentence: Forbes says that Kylie Jenner is a self-made woman.”
