The members of the Kardashian/Jenner family are obviously no strangers to the spotlight. They’ve been centerstage in pop culture for years now, and it doesn’t seem like that will be letting up anytime soon. Like her fellow famous sisters, Kylie Jenner isn’t shy about showing off her assets — and that includes the parts of her that might be considered less than perfect.
Recently, Kylie took to Insta to share a photo of herself (as you do when you’re the queen of Instagram). In the pic, Kylie is looking flawless, as per usual, wearing a super stretchy all-beige crop top and skirt and rocking braided hair.

Kylie’s legs are on full display in the photo, thanks to her short skirt and adorable mid-length boots. On her thigh, you can also clearly see a sizable scar in the picture.
This is by no means the first time we’ve seen Kylie’s scar. She’s been nothing but upfront about it ever since she rose to media prominence in years past and has flaunted it in photos before. In an exclusive 2011 interview with Celebuzz, she revealed the origin of her noticeable scar after a Celebuzz reader pointed out that many fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians had noticed it.
“When I was about 5, my sister and I were playing hide and seek, and I hid inside this really tall-enclosed gate. After a while when my sister didn’t find me I had to climb up on this sharp pole sticking out from the gate. I slipped and the pole went into my leg. I tried pulling away to get the pole out but it just tore through my whole leg.”
Yikes! That sounds really painful.
It makes sense that Kylie isn’t uncomfortable about her scar. She’s grown up with it since she was 5–that’s over a decade with the scar. It’s as much a part of her and one of her features as anything else on her body. In December 2015, Kylie even shared another snap on Instagram with the caption “I love my scar.”

In that photo, her scar is on full display — it’s the centerpiece of the picture and hasn’t been covered up with make-up at all.
The Kardashian-Jenners are obviously a controversial, polarizing bunch. People either love them or hate them (or even love to hate them), but no one can deny that the group of women are admirable for their unwavering body positivity and self-love. Kylie’s self-professed love for her scar, and even showing it off, send a super important message about body acceptance and embracing what might be considered “flaws.” You go, Kylie!
