KSP looking for second escaped inmate in as many weeks

May 1—The Kentucky State Police is searching for an inmate who walked away from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center in Madison County before 4:00 pm on April 30th.

KSP is searching for Cody Hatfield, 27, from Shepherdsville, KY. KSP describes Hatfield as a white male, 5'11" tall, weighing 130 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He also has several tattoos, long hair (dreadlocks), and facial hair.

Hatfield was last seen by KSP wearing a white t-shirt and black/white lounge pants.

Hatfield was serving a sentence for third degree burglary and engaging in organized crime — criminal syndicate.

Anyone who may have information about the location of Hatfield is asked to call their local law enforcement or KSP Post 7 at 859.623.2404.

While this investigation is still ongoing, this is the second time in as many weeks that an inmate has escaped from the facility, 16 days earlier, 38 year old Louis Jones, of Grayson, walked off the property and has not been seen since.

Jones was still considered at-large as of April 16.
