KSP investigating third escaped inmate in Madison County in three weeks

May 7—Richmond's Post of the Kentucky State Police is searching for an inmate who walked away from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center just before 2:30 pm on Monday, May 6.

State officials are searching for Tyler O. Branstetter, 38, from Glasgow, KY. Branstetter is described as a white male, 5'10" tall, weighing 165 pounds, with strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes.

Branstetter was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, dark basketball shorts, and white tennis shoes. He also has several tattoos on his face, neck, and arms.

Branstetter was serving a sentence for enhanced trafficking in the first degree, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.

Branstetter was also serving time for tampering with evidence and manufacturing methamphetamine. He was expected to serve until 2046 after being put in prison in 2012

This is the third inmate in just over three weeks who has walked away from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center. KSP is also looking for Louis G. Jones and Cody Hatfield, both of whom also escaped from the same facility since April 14 and remain at large.
