[1] FBI: Missing Clovis 10-month old has been found – 10-month-old Eleia Maria Torres has been found alive and a suspect is in custody, according to the FBI Albuquerque Division. Friday, an Amber alert was issued for 10-month-old Torres. The alert was sent out after the Clovis Police Department found the girl’s mom, and another woman, dead at Ned Houk Park.

[2] Albuquerque city councilors call for immigration law enforcement – Albuquerque’s Immigrant Friendly Ordinance prevents the city from helping the feds enforce immigration laws. It also prevents the city from allowing federal agents access to city facilities for that purpose without a warrant. Councilors Brook Bassan and Renee Grout are proposing an amendment to the policy that would make an exception if an immigrant is charged with a violent felony, human trafficking, or drug trafficking.

[3] Windy and cooler start to the week – A cold front is moving across New Mexico Monday morning, bringing strong wind gusts up to around 55 mph along the central mountain chain, central and eastern New Mexico.Temperatures will be cooler by about five to fifteen degrees today. Tuesday will be another windy day, like today. Temperatures will be warmer, and skies will stay dry.

[4] Albuquerque distiller wins competition – An Albuquerque distiller is helping put the state in the spotlight after winning the latest season of a distilling competition. Martin Ulloa took his talents to the Discovery Channel, competing on the show “Moonshiners: Master Distiller” and winning the title. Martin brought New Mexico grown ingredients with him to the show. He is the head distiller for Vara Winery and owner of Vision City brewery

[5] Names sought for Warthogs at New Mexico zoo – The Hillcrest Park Zoo in Clovis is asking the public for help naming a pair of warthogs. The male and female warthogs will be given the names with the highest number of votes. Submissions will be open on Friday afternoon. To submit a name for the warthogs, click here.
