Krispy Kreme plans to sell 3 Dallas stores

Krispy Kreme signs letter of intent to sell 3 company-owned shops in Dallas

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) -- Krispy Kreme has signed a letter of intent to sell three locations in Dallas to a Sun Holdings LLC affiliate, furthering its domestic expansion efforts.

The sale comes with some conditions, including an agreement that Sun Holdings further develop new Krispy Kreme stores in Dallas.

Sun Holdings runs nearly 400 restaurants in Texas and Florida. These include Burger King, Arby's and Golden Corral. It also operates 10 T-Mobile stores.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. topped Wall Street projections last month on profit and revenue for the first quarter. The Winston-Salem, N.C. company also increased its forecast for the rest of the year.
